OUR COLLECTION

Our curriculum based collection both supports and enhances the student’s learning experiences. The collection consists of varied fiction, non-fiction, reference and biographical books, periodicals, and newspaper titles.   While some reference works stay in the library, most materials may be checked out for a period of three weeks and may be renewed.

The collection also contains audio books on tape and CD. All of these are circulating material enabling students to listen as well as to read a title.

LIBRARY GUIDELINES

Circulation:    Students are permitted to check out up to 4 items.

Check out period is 3 weeks for all items. At the end of 3 weeks, all materials must either be returned or renewed.

Fines:         Students will be charged 5¢ per day for overdue material.

COMPUTERS AND OTHER RESOURCES

Students may use any of the twelve available PCs.  There are also three  MAC computers linked to the students’ own folders. Use of the MACs  enables students to access their work previously saved in other locations in the building.

The library has a scanner, color laser printer, and  a copy machine available for student use.

In the library, students have access to many databases as well as the on-line public access catalog (OPAC) to facilitate the research process.
