Smartphone Configuration

To connect a Smartphone to the GNPS Email Server, users must choose Activsync, Corporatesync, Microsoft Exchange, or Microsoft Outlook Web Access client type on their phone. If none of these are available, the phone cannot be connected.

Below are the settings you will need:


Email Address:

JUSER0101 (use this if phone has a separate field for domain) or or


greatneck or (depends on phone)

OWA url:

Any time your Active Directory password is changed, you will need to update the password that is stored in your phone to be consistent with the new password.

Certain Apple IOS versions (the software that runs iPhones and iPads) are known to cause isses with Exchange servers. As a result, some IOS versions (like 4.x and 6.1.1) are barred from being connected. You can verify the version you have by navigating to Settings > General > About and looking at the Version on your device.

We will not be able to provide support for personal phones. The necessary information to connect has been supplied above but if users need help with their phones, they must contact their mobile phone service provider.
